Accused Breast-Pumping Peeper Faces More Charges

John Bednarik II faces two counts of attempted invasion of privacy for allegedly spying on two additional women at DeSales University.Â

According to a press release from Lehigh County District Attorney Jim Martin's office, the first additional charge states Bednarik placed a video camera at the DeSales gymnasium (Billera Hall) and filmed a woman while she was changing her clothes. The press release states that Bednarik is charged with attempted invasion of privacy because the angle of the camera prevented recording the woman's body.
The second new charge stems from a complaint by an unidentified woman at DeSales. The woman told DeSales campus police she was changing in the locker room at the gym looked up and saw a man looking in the locker room window two stories up. According to the criminal complaint, "the male figure quickly dropped from view." The press release states that the woman reported the incident, and Bednarik was questioned by campus police. The complaint goes on to say that Bednarik admitted looking in the window, but told campus police he was in the area for "work-related matters."

Bednarik, who is out on $10,000 unsecured bail, waived his preliminary hearing in front of District Judge this afternoon. In a recent interview, DeSales officials stated that Bednarik no longer is employed at the university.Â
Bednarik is scheduled to be arraigned at Lehigh County Courthouse August 7 in the Court of Common Pleas.
