Center Valley Man Tried to 'Beat Traffic,' Caused Crash, Police Say
Police say an Upper Saucon man with a suspended license will be cited for causing an accident at a Lower Saucon Township intersection.

Lower Saucon Township Police say an Upper Saucon Township man will be cited for following too closely and driving with a suspended license after he allegedly caused a car accident at Route 378 and Koehler Drive.
In a press release, police said Erik Ward, 38, of the 2800 block of Station Avenue, Center Valley, was in the process of turning from Route 378 onto Koehler when he tried "to beat traffic" on May 3.
Police said that as he turned, Ward rear-ended another vehicle in front of him.

The accident occurred at about 6 p.m., police said.
