Property Reassessment will hit Coopersburg Hardest
Lehigh County property reassessments include increases for Southern Lehigh, including Upper Saucon, Lower Milford and Coopersburg.

According to recent reports, Lehigh County reassessment will hit Coopersburg borough hardest, with an increase for approximately 73.4 percent of the borough.Â

According to an Express-Times article, county commissioner Brad Osborne said the communities hardest hit by the increase were those without significant industrial or commercial activity. Coopersburg has two smaller commercial zones -- the area along Main Street and the business district on Route 309.
Only 52.2 percent of Upper Saucon residents will see an increase in taxes, which can be attributed to the Promenade and surrounding commercial buildings.Â

Meanwhile, 45.3 percent of residents in the mostly agricultural Lower Milford will see a property tax increase.Â
