Coopersburg Food Bank's Client List Has Grown

The number of families relying on Betty Lou's Pantry in Coopersburg has grown significantly since 2009.

Just 15 families were clients of Betty Lou's Pantry four years ago, but more than 300 people visited the food bank this month, according to the article, which examines rising suburban poverty rates in the Lehigh Valley.

Betty Lou's Pantry is in the St. James Lutheran Church administrative building, 333 E. Oxford St., and is connected with a network of churches throughout the Southern Lehigh area, according to its Upper Saucon Patch directory listing.

The pantry is open the second and fourth Saturdays of each month from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
