Coopersburg Teen Wins Gold at Inline Skating Championships

Coopersburg resident McKenzie Browne, 17, won gold in the 200 meter time trial race at the USA Inline Speed Skating Championships in Colorado Springs, Col., Wednesday, Judy Koenig Browne announced on Upper Saucon Patch's Facebook page.

Browne also announced that McKenzie has earned a spot on the U.S. inline speed skating world team, meaning she will compete at the world championships as a member of the USA Junior World Team for the third year in a row.

The world team championships will be held in Belgium in late August.

McKenzie will begin her senior year at Southern Lehigh High School in the fall.
