Fire at Coopersburg Auto Dealer, Multiple Responders at Scene

A fire broke out at Kenworth Truck Dealership around 7:30pm Monday evening

A fire broke out at Monday evening causing damage to a structure on the lot. 

According to WFMZ, the call for responders went out a little before 7:30pm yesterday evening. Crews from both Bucks and Lehigh counties responded to the scene.

"The call came in around 7:10 last night," said Cooperburg Fire Chief Kevin Farnish. "We arrived at the scene to find the the paint shop [on fire]."

Farnish reported at least four fire companies were on scene to battle the blaze. Two additional fire companies responded to be available in case firefighters were caught in the structure.

The Upper Bucks Free Press Facebook photos show damage to a structure on the premises described on the site as the "facility's paint shop".

Farnish said preliminary surveys at the scene point to faulty electrical in the paint shop. "It could have been a lot worse," said Farnish.
