Firefighters Respond to Hopewell House for Second Time
A second fire Wednesday morning seriously damaged an already fire-damaged bank-owned home on West Hopewell Rd.
Police and fire crews responded to a fire on West Hopewell Rd. in Upper Saucon early Wednesday morning. It was a familiar scene for all involved, a fire broke out at the same home late Monday night.Â
Police were called to the second fire at 4030 W. Hopewell Rd. around 2:30 Wednesday morning, the same location of a house fire on Monday night.Â
The original two-alarm fire started on the porch and spread to the rest of the house.Â

At least three fire departments were on the scene of the original fire, along with medical assist. Early reports stated the house was "badly damaged." The home showed additional damage from the second fire Wednesday morning.Â
According to records, the home is a two bedroom, two bath home built in 1950. Public records show that the home was purchased in 2006 for $205,000. Zillow estimates the home is worth approximately $171,200.
