L. Milford Man Allegedly Stole Guns, Fought With Officer

A Lower Milford Township man is facing numerous charges—including aggravated assault, theft, receiving stolen property, burglary, carrying a concealed firearm without a permit, illegal possession of a firearm, resisting arrest and terroristic threats—after he allegedly stole guns from a neighbor's home and later pulled a loaded handgun while fighting with a township police officer, according to court records cited by the Morning Call.

Carlos Manuel Nieves, 49, of 8342 Milky Way, was arrested and later committed to Lehigh County Prison under $150,000 bail, and may face drug charges, the newspaper reported.

The alleged incident involving Nieves was initially reported as an attempted home invasion.
