Learn About Stars, Astronomy at Trexler Nature Preserve Saturday

Join a local astronomer Saturday at the Trexler Environmental Center in Schnecksville to learn how to identify stars and planets.

How do you find stars and planets in the night sky? Join a local astronomer Saturday at the Trexler Environmental Center in Schnecksville to learn about how to identify celestial objects, what equipment to use and other useful information on how to get started in the hobby of astronomy.

The Wildlands Conservancy is sponsoring this free, family friendly program from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Trexler Nature Preserve, 4935 Orchard Road, Schnecksville.

Although geared for inexperienced astronomers, the program will also provide useful information for those already in the hobby. Dave Moll from the Lehigh Valley Amateur Astronomical Society will be on site to discuss the techniques and equipment you will need to indulge your curiosity about the cosmos. If we have clear skies, anticipate a brief “sky tour” and some telescope views.
