Lehigh Valley Hospital Named One of Nation's Best

For the 17th consecutive year, is ranked as one of the nation's leading hospitals in the areas of gastroenterology (#29), orthopedics (#40) and pulmonology (#50). Only 150 out of the nation's roughly 5,000 hospitals were ranked nationally in 16 specialty areas. 

According to U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals, and are ranked as top-performers regionally in several categories, including cancer care, cardiology and heart surgery; ear, nose and throat; geriatrics; gynecology; nephrology, and urology.

In a press release, Dr. Ronald Swinfard, Lehigh Valley Health Network’s president and CEO, said, “Recognitions like this speak volumes about the hard work and dedication of everyone on the team. I am extremely proud of everyone in our entire network for their passion and commitment to doing what they do every day to help care for our community."

The Lehigh Valley Health Network, which includes three hospital facilities and nine health centers, is the largest employer in the region.
