The woman, not romantically linked to Schantz, was staying in the home of Schantz's mother temporarily. According to the criminal complaint, Schantz approached the victim in the home around 11pm July 10 brandishing a rifle. Schantz told the woman, "You are lucky I didn't kill you yet. You better not sleep here tonight before something bad happens," the complaint says.
The complaint goes on to say that the woman ran from Schantz, trying to protect herself and her 5-year-old son in her bedroom. The victim told police Schantz started banging on the door, telling her that he "was going to get in anyway."

Police say Schantz was able to kick the door open, then grabbed the victim by the arm, forcing her to fall. The commotion caused Schantz's mother to wake up, come out of her bedroom and demand to know what was going on. Schantz allegedly fled the scene.Â
Schantz was released on $25,000 bail, and a no-contact order is in place between the victim and Schantz. Â
