Mike Schware Sworn in as Lehigh County Commissioner

In front of a smal crowd of family, Republican Mike Schware was sworn in as Lehigh County commissioner Friday, Jan. 27.

Schware, a CPA living in Allentown, served on the Lehigh County Planning Commission for eight years. His appointment fills the seat vacated by Glenn Eckhart, also a Republican.

Eckhart vacated the seat when he took office as county controller a few weeks ago. Within a week, three residents – , Schware, and – applied for the appointment. Paschke withdrew from the race Jan. 25.
