Police Chase Down Man After Upper Saucon Fight
Patrick Hauser of Quakertown is charged with fleeing or attempting to elude police following a fight in Upper Saucon Township.

A Quakertown man -- Patrick Hauser -- is facing multiple charges stemming from a June 10 incident.Â
Upper Saucon police were dispatched to an incident on the corner of Route 309 and W. Passer Road. According to the criminal complaint, when police arrived they found a car pulled over on the shoulder of the road with a man next to it. The complaint goes on to state that as police pulled up to the car, another vehicle pulled out onto Short Road.
The man standing on the shoulder told police that the individuals in the car pulling out were involved in the fight. Police say they pulled next to the car on Short Road and "instructed the driver to pull to the side. [The driver] looked me right in the eye and said 'ok.'"Â

It was at this point that the driver pulled out and headed south on Route 309.Â
The complaint says that police followed the car and radioed for backup. Coopersburg police joined in the chase.Â

Police say that the car, a Honda, was weaving in and out of traffic, finally turning left on Landis Street. The Honda skidded to a stop and three occupants fled on foot. Police apprehended one person on the scene and was able to track the driver -- Hauser -- down through the Honda's registration.Â
Hauser is charged with:Â
- Fleeing or attempting to elude police
- Reckless driving
- Careless driving
- Trespass by motor vehicle overtaking vehicle on right
- Turning movements without signals
- Driving at a safe speedÂ
