Police: Coopersburg Man Found with Marijuana, Pills and Cash

Gregory A. Kidd, 21, is facing possession and paraphernalia charges.

Coopersburg police have charged Gregory A. Kidd, 21, of Coopersburg with drug-related offenses after pulling over a silver Volkswagen Jetta for disregarding traffic stops.

According to a criminal complaint of the July 1 arrest, police observed that Kidd, the driver of the vehicle, had bloodshot and glassy eyes. Police also stated there was a strong odor of marijuana. Police performed a pat-down of Kidd and found a small, soft package that Kidd identified as pot.

After placing Kidd under arrest and removing passengers from the car, police found a backpack on the floorboards. Inside the backpack were seven baggies filled with marijuana, a glass smoking pipe with residue and a small Jolly Rancher box containing $760 in cash, the complaint said. Police also found a baggie with seven white pills.

Inside another black backpack police found a glass mason jar filled with marijuana and several empty plastic baggies, the complaint said.

Kidd was charged with possession of marijuana, use/possession of drug paraphernalia and disobeying traffic control devices, according to court records.
