Work is continuing on the Phase 2 extension of the Saucon Rail Trail in Upper Saucon Township.
At the township board of supervisors meeting Monday, engineer Dennis Harman said the completion date for the extension is now Aug. 7, although it's possible the section that runs south to Passer Road could be opened earlier.
Phase 1 of the rail trail opened in the spring of 2011.
