Simmons Forum on Liquor Privatization Canceled
Canceled liquor forum would have been held at Southern Lehigh Library tonight at 7:30.

Tonight's forum on liquor privatization, hosted by state Rep. Justin Simmons (R-131), has been canceled. The forum, set up by Simmons' office to showcase both sides of the debate, was to be held at the Southern Lehigh Public Library.
A representative of Simmons' office blames the cancellation on a panelist pulling out at the last minute. "We didn't feel that we could host an unbalanced forum," said Simmons staffer Eric Davis.
Simmons' website has a section where constituents can take a survey about privatizing wine and liquor sales.

Currently there are no plans to reschedule the forum. Sources close to the liquor privatization bill say that the piece of legislation may not survive committee.
The next time Simmons will appear in the district is at the Kids Expo held at the DaVinci Center in Allentown on Oct. 29.
