Southern Lehigh School District Looks for Residents to Participate in Strategic Plan

In an open letter to residents, Southern Lehigh School District asks for volunteers by March 7.

From Southern Lehigh School District Assistant Superintendent Leah Christman

Good afternoon-

Southern Lehigh’s Strategic Plan guides the district’s focus. We are looking for a few more volunteers to help with our mid- point strategic planning process to review and identify that focus for the next three years. Our current strategic plan documents can be found at: http://www.slsd.org/districtandboard.cfm?subpage=793920.

We will be reviewing progress made toward achieving the identified goals, strategies and activities and will be identifying next steps. We plan to keep face-to-face meetings to a minimum, utilizing technology to communicate and collaborate. Our ‘kick-off’ meeting is scheduled for March 22 from 4-6 PM. Subcommittee chairs will determine subsequent meetings based on committee members’ availability and the work to be completed.

If you are interested in helping guide the future of the district and the focus for educational initiatives related to district standards, assessment and improved communications, please contact me by March 7th with your request to participate. I hope you will consider being part of this important work!
