Swain Students Celebrate Year of The Dragon

Swain students celebrate the Chinese New Year with a special meal, a dragon parade and a trip to New York City.

Students at celebrated the Chinese New Year with a special Chinese meal, complete with chopsticks and fortune cookies. The second-grade classes rang in the Year of the Dragon by creating their own dragon parade around the school. Fifth-graders traveled to New York City on Friday and explored the Asian exhibits at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and ate at a restaurant in Chinatown. Gung hay fat choy!
