Taylor Drive to Close for at Least 2 Weeks Starting Monday
Motorists who regularly travel Taylor Drive in Upper Saucon Township should be aware that the road will be closed for at least two weeks starting Monday.

Upper Saucon Township officials announced Friday that Taylor Drive will be closed for at least two weeks starting Monday, due to an ongoing road improvement project.
The road will close for the installation of a box culvert, according to an email from the township's special projects coordinator, Joseph Geib.
While Taylor is closed, through traffic will be detoured via Hay Street, Station Avenue and Franklin Lane.

"There will certainly be traffic impacts on Taylor Drive because of this project and there will be delays for travelers," the email from Geib said. "Motorists are encouraged to allow extra time and use caution when traveling through work zones."
The box culvert installation is part of a major overhaul of Taylor Drive that includes drainage improvements along its entire length.

Upper Saucon Township has contracted with James D. Morrissey Inc. to perform the work, which is expected to continue for several months.
"The scope of work entails the installation of stormwater inlets and piping along Taylor Drive and a section of Flint Hill Road, a realignment of the intersection of Taylor Drive and Flint Hill Road, and a complete overlay of Taylor Drive," the email from Geib said. "Work will be performed between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., though work may occasionally extend until 7 p.m. weekdays, and possibly on Saturdays, when necessary."
