This Week's Whiz Kids: The Southern Lehigh High School Coed Rifling Team

Names: Tony Rizzuto, Paul Thom, Adam Weaver, Justin Hofstetter, Weston Brown, Erich Brunges, Kevin Anthony, Jessica Hagerman

School: Southern Lehigh High School

Accomplishment: With an undefeated season, the Southern Lehigh Coed Rifle team heads to Stroudsburg High School to compete against North Pocono.

Key to Awesomeness: With a 10-0 record, the team is headed to finals in both individual as well as team rifling. This accomplishment is even more impressive given the fact that Southern Lehigh schools don’t have a practice area of their own. Instead the students travel by bus to the Hellertown Sportsmen Association. The team has two seniors, Jessica Hagerman and Erich Brunges. Hagerman will be attending Bloomsburg University in the fall, while Brunges is joining the Army Reserves. The team will be meeting North Poconos in the team finals, held on Thursday.
