Police arrest two men within days of each other for two unrelated sexual assaults

Location of Incident: Rave Theater, Center Valley

Summary: According to the criminal complaint, police were contacted by a juvenile female to report being assaulted while working at the Rave Theater at the Promenade Shops. The female reported that she was working late in the evening. Toward the end of her shift, she and assistant manager Texter were working alone cleaning and restocking the concession stands. During that time, Texter allegedly asked the female several lewd questions.

After completing work on the first floor, Texter allegedly told the female that her new work shirt was on the third flood in the manager’s office. According to the complaint, when in the projector area, Texter tried to kiss her while she was against a wall. The female alleged she asked him to stop, at which time Texter sexually assaulted her, the c0mplaint said. The female reported she pushed Texter away and immediately asked to leave for the night. Texter allegedly said she could, as long as she didn’t get him fired.

The female then reported the incident to the manager, as well as calling the police.

1.     Indecent assault without consent

2.     Harassment

Summary: According to the criminal complaint, an underage female was attending a party at the home of Ruppel’s father, who was away on vacation. At the party, the female admitted to drinking alcohol and passing out on a bed next to a friend. When she woke up, a man identified later as Ruppel was sexually assaulting her, the complaint said. When brought in for questioning, Ruppel admitted to hosting the party at his father’s home while his father was away. He also admitted to having sex with the female without her consent, the complaint said.

1.     Rape with an unconscious victim

2.     Sexual assault

3.     Indecent assault without consent

4.     Indecent assault with an unaware victim
