Upper Saucon Community Park Gets a Bit Greener
The Upper Saucon Township Board of Supervisors Monday night awards a contract for lawn mowing and trimming services that will result in savings for the township.

The cost of lawn mowing and trimming services at Upper Saucon Township Community Park has dropped by $700 a year.
On Monday, the Upper Saucon Township Board of Supervisors awarded a contract to Genos Greens LLC, Allentown, for $16,100. Genos was the lowest of four bids for the contract.
The township had been paying $16,800 a year to Searock’s Lawn Care in Bath for the previous three years, according to Thomas F. Beil, the township manager.

Lower Saucon Township also uses Genos for its park care and administrators there said the company does a good job, Beil told supervisors. The contract gives supervisors the option to hire Genos at the same rate for the next two years.
