Upper Saucon Compost Open for Business Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday

The snow has finished falling, but the damage left behind by the unusual weekend snowfall is just starting to emerge. Several roads throughout Southern Lehigh are closed, and thousands are still without power.

For those dealing with downed limbs and branches, Upper Saucon will hold its normal compost hours on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The following are the hours for the compost center:

Tuesday: 2pm to 6pm

Thursday: 2pm to 6pm

Saturday: 9am to 3pm

The Drop-off Center accepts the following items:

• Grass Clippings
• Leaves
• Yard Waste
• Tree & Shrubbery Trimmings

Branches and tree limbs (must be less than 6 inches in diameter and less than 5 feet in length).
