Upper Saucon Election Official Charged With Possession of Child Pornography

Suspect, 77, allegedly viewed porn on public computer at DeSales University.

Police have charged an Upper Saucon Township election official with possessing child pornography after a DeSales University library employee said the man was viewing illegal images on a public computer.

Jay Mosebach, whose age is listed in court records as 77 and whose address is listed as Coopersburg, was charged Feb. 12. A preliminary hearing set for Feb. 24 has been postponed.

Campus police found Mosebach with several printouts depicting graphic images of underage children engaged in sex acts, according to the arrest affidavit.

Upper Saucon police brought Mosebach in for questioning Feb. 12, at which point Mosebach waived his Miranda rights, according to the affidavit. The affidavit goes on to say that Mosebach confirmed the printouts were in his possession when campus police took them and that he had printed them out at the university. He also said that he is sexually aroused by images of child pornography, according to the affidavit. 

The charges against Mosebach is the second recent pornography case in the Southern Lehigh area. A preliminary hearing is scheduled tomorrow in Coopersburg for , who is charged with in his home in January.
