John Raymond Wilson, 50, is accused of insurance fraud and theft by deception; police say he improperly reported restoration of electronics.

Police report that John Raymond Wilson, 50, of Stevens, PA was arrested in connection with an ongoing insurance fraud case involving a Center Valley house fire and his role in fire restoration.
Wilson, owner of Vision Tech Electronics and Restoration, is accused of insurance fraud and theft by deception after police say he improperly reported restoration of electronics.
According to the criminal complaint, Wilson retrieved three televisions, some home computers, an electric guitar and an amplifier to clean following a house fire and “admitted to police that he looked the items over and in his opinion everything was fine and could have been cleaned up and returned to [the homeowner].”

Wilson told investigators that the project manager of the construction company contracted to restore the home contacted him and told him that the insurance adjuster wanted everything listed as smoke damage. Wilson told police he did as asked.
Wilson returned the guitar to the homeowner, but kept the televisions, putting one in his beach house in Delaware, and installed a second one in a customer’s home, the complaint said. Wilson led investigators to a small storage unit where they found the third television as well as additional electronics. Several of the electronics were marked with painter's tape with the homeowner’s name.
