Viewfinder: Lower Milford Police and Fire Help Runners Find Right-of-Way

For the 5th year, Lower Milford police and fire help the Quakertown Rotary's Run for Youth

Amid shouts of "Thank You!", Lower Milford police and fire rerouted traffic during the 5th annual Quakertown Rotary Run for Youth. "We're happy to help," said police chief Jon Dondero as he waved an SUV by. "We've been helping for the last five years. It's good for the community." Dondero was stationed at Spinnerstown Road and Orchard Road, while the Fire Company was rerouting traffic at Spinnerstown Road and Chestnut Hill Church Road.

Dozens of runners (including school board member and Lehigh County assistant district attorney Jeff Dimmig) ran two courses to raise money for the Quakertown Rotary. According to the run's brochure, the Rotary supports Upper Bucks YMCA, Children's Development Program, Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County, the Quakertown Historical Society and The Quakertown Parenting Center.
