Weekend Event Will Celebrate Liberati's Life, Legacy
District plans public event to honor superintendent for Sunday, Dec. 4
Still reeling from the news of Superintendent Joe Liberati'sthe Southern Lehigh School District has planned a public memorial service for this weekend.
According to an Express Times article, the event is scheduled for 2pm at Southern Lehigh High School and is open to the public. The event will be held in the gymnasium.
The event is being held in addition to the funeral service set for Friday at 11am at in Bethlehem. Calling hours are also being held at Morello Funeral Home in Easton Thursday from 4pm to 8pm.

On , the school board accepted Liberati's resignation. He was set to retire in March. On Assistant Superintendent Leah Christman was appointed substitute Superintendent to fill in while Liberati used accrued vacation days.
