Woman Accused of Stealing $8,000 from Youth Sports Waives Hearing

Yvonne Vallone is charge with theft by unlawful taking

A Bethlehem resident charged with stealing from the Southern Lehigh Youth Association waived her preliminary hearing today.

Yvonne Vallone, 46, was the only one with access to SLSA accounts at PNC Bank. Almost $1,200 was taken from an account over three months.

According to court records, Robert Shaffer, SLHS Boys Basketball Coach, and Kathleen Krause, a parent working with SLSA, called  after hearing from Shirley Jimenez, assistant VP and branch manager of PNC Bank on Emmaus Avenue, reporting suspicious transactions from the association's accounts on Aug. 22, 2011.
