Police: Man Attacked Teen Girls at Promenade
Jeremy James Silvius, 19, of Coopersburg is charged with 'extreme indifference to the value of human life' for allegedly attacking two teen sisters at the Promenade.

A Coopersburg man faces several charges, including felony assault, after he allegedly attacked two teen sisters, ages 14 and 16, at The Promenade Shops.
According to a criminal complaint, Upper Saucon police responded Monday August 13 around 6:45pm after calls came in about a "fight in progress" at the Promenade. Initial reports described the suspect as a large white male wearing a Darth Vader T-shirt, approximately 6-foot-3 and 260 pounds.
When police arrived, they located the man, later identified as Silvius, and placed him on "investigative detention." Police then responded to White Orchid Thai Restaurant to check on the welfare of the alleged victims. When police arrived, they found two teenage sisters, age 14 and 16, attending to injuries.

The 16-year-old told police Silvius punched her in the chest and knocked her to the ground. Police noted a bleeding abrasion on her elbow as well as redness on her chest. When questioned, the 14-year-old told police that she tried to help her sister when Silvius allegedly grabbed her by the hair and smashed her head into a pole several times.
The 14-year-old told police that Silvius "remained in control [of her] by her hair, taking her to the ground and punching her several times with a closed fist." Silvius then allegedly threw the younger girl into a car and ran away. Police noted several lumps on the 14-year-old's head and welting on her face.

The girls were taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
When questioned at the Upper Saucon police station, Silvius admitted to striking the two sisters "two or three times." The complaint doesn't note an event that led up to the alleged assault.
Silvius is charged with one count of felony aggravated assault (against the 14-year-old), two counts of simple assault, and two counts of harassment with physical contact. A no-contact order was issued between Silvius and the victims.
