Dame Lavinia of Locksley Manor owns a vast tract of Land in Sherwood Forest. It is a fortunate place: green, wooded, and rich with clear springs. Of course, the Baddie, Sir Guy de GIsbourne (we don’t like him!) covets this land. It has most of what he needs to manufacture gunpowder and become a very, very rich man. Aided by a Wicked Prioress, Guy persuades the Sheriff of Nottingham to use a trumped-up charge to outlaw Dame Lavinia’s son (Robin) and force him into hiding in the forest. Guy intends to use this leverage to get Dame Lavina to hand over the deed to Locksley Manor. He also has designs on Robin’s affianced, the Maid Marion(I told you we didn’t like him). Will Guy get his way? Will Dame Lavina sell? Will Robin and Marion be reunited? What role will Dame Lavinia’s faithful and mathematically challenged horse, Dobbin, play in all this? And why do we sing a song about a Hippopotamus? There will be the usual silly jokes, rousing songs, and (this time) a terrific battle scene at the end. See you there, and remember,“Robin Rocks”
