2-Year-Old Rhode Island Child Died Due to Maltreatment: DCYF
The child died in November, according to the Department of Children, Youth & Families.
A 2-year-old Rhode Island child died in November due to maltreatment, the Department of Children, Youth & Families revealed.
"A DCYF investigation has determined this fatality resulted from maltreatment," the department said in a media release.
"The child and the family were not open to the Department at the time of this incident," according to the release.

The child died Nov. 26 and "DCYF has notified the Office of Child Advocate," the release said.
"While confidentiality laws prohibit DCYF from disclosing additional details, we are always disheartened to learn of these incidents," according to the release.
