Providence College Women’s Hockey Team Taking On Northeastern

The game will be streamed on ESPN+.

PROVIDENCE, RI — The Providence College women’s hockey team takes on Northeastern University Friday.

The Friars are home against the Huskies for the 2 p.m. tilt. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.

Providence enters the game with a 7-12-2 overall record and a 4-6-2 mark in Hockey East play. The Friars are eighth in the Hockey East standings with 13 points. Northeastern leads the conference with 34 points after 12 games.

The Friars won their final three games and were undefeated in their last four contests before the winter break. Following a 2-2 tie with Boston University on Nov. 22, Providence won the Mayor’s Cup in a 3-2 overtime victory.

The Friars closed the 2025 calendar year with a sweep of Merrimack College, earning a 3-2 overtime win at Schneider Arena and a 3-2 road victory.
