Bristol Housing Authority Seeks Tenant Applications

The local public housing agency is looking for eligible seniors in the East Bay.

The Bristol Housing Authority has issued a call for applications to its program, which provides income-based rental apartments to eligible East Bay residents.

Candace Pansa, executive director of the BHA, announced that the agency's list is open to seniors in the area who meet income and other requirements.

"We have a healthy and vibrant Public Housing Authority" that "provides safe, affordable and decent housing for qualified folks on the East Bay," Pansa wrote in a recent email.

Income limits are $40,250 for individuals and $46,000 for couples, according to the BHA website.

Located next to the Benjamin Church Manor on Hope Street, the Authority manages 192 units for some 250 tenants.

The agency offers online and downloadable applications here. Once an prospective tenant has applied, BHA staff conduct a screening to ensure eligibility for the program.

Apartments are then provided to eligible tenants as they become available.
