Bristol Memorial Day Parade Canceled

The threat of rain has led to the unfortunate decision.

BRISTOL, RI—Bristol's Memorial Day Parade has been canceled due to expected rains on Monday morning.

The Bristol Police Department tweeted at around 9:45 p.m. that the decision to cancel the parade was made with regret.

Heavy rains and possible street flooding is possible on Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

Some of the showers will cause torrential rains and some areas could see 1- to 2-inches of rain by mid-day.
