Bristol-Warren Middle School Closed For COVID-19 Cases
Kickemuit Middle School was placed on a one-day "pause" of in-person learning after several cases were confirmed.
WARREN, RI — Bristol-Warren's middle school stayed dark Monday morning, after a cluster of coronavirus cases forced a "pause" to in-person learning.
In a letter to families, Kickemuit Middle School Principal Dennis Morrell said that "up to five" cases of COVID-19 were confirmed at the school at the end of last week, bringing the 10-day new case total to 12.
Although all cases were determined to have been from community or family spread, the school was closed Monday to allow more time for contact tracing of the latest cases. While students were not in school, classes continued synchronously, meaning classes started at the usual 7:30 a.m., via Google Meet.
