Company Eyes Bristol for 70-Room Hotel
LaFrance Hospitality Company reported to have put a down payment on Gooding Avenue parcel in Bristol.

LaFrance Hospitality Company has set its sights on a 9.6-acre piece of land on Gooding Avenue in Bristol for a new hotel, according to eastbayri.com.
State Rep. Ken Marshall of Bristol, who is part owner of the lot, said LaFrance has made a sizable down-payment on the land, which has a $400,000 purchase price. The company is going through a 90-day “due diligence,” Marshall said in the eastbayri.com story.
The hospitality company plans to construct a 70-room hotel that would open in 2015.

Lafrance Hospitality Company owns Christian’s Catering and five restaurant and banquet facilities, including White’s of Westport, Ten Cousins Brick Oven, Rachel’s Lakeside, Bittersweet Farm Restaurant and Tavern and the Waypoint Event Center at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in New Bedford, according to its website.
It also owns the Hampton Inn & Suites of Plymouth, Mass., the Comfort Inn & Suites of Dover, NH, and the Comfort Inn & Suites of Farmington/Wilton, Maine. The company owns or operates two Hampton Inns, in Westport, Mass., and Dover, NH, as well as a Homewood Suites by Hilton, in Dover, NH. Most recently, the company built and opened a Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in New Bedford, and has acquired a Holiday Inn Express in Milford, Mass.
