DUI, Reckless Driving, No-Fishing Zone

The following information was provided by the Warren Police Department. Where an arrest is noted, it does not indicate a conviction.

The Warren Police Department reported the following recent arrests and incidents:

Arrested:

  • Zachary Audet, 21, of 28 Monterey Drive, Bristol, on a charge of driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop on Metacom Avenue, on May 13 at about 4:15 pm. He is scheduled for arriagnment in Sixth District Court, Providence, tomorrow.
  • Robert Bancroft, 20, of 32 Third St., on May 15 at 2:15 pm on a warrant issued by Second District Court, Newport, for failure to appear at a May 8 pretrial hearing on a charge of domestic vandalism brought by Newport Police. He was ordered held at the Adult Correctional Institutions, Cranston, pending the outcome of a hearing held yesterday.
  • Christopher Spangler, 38, of 631 Metacom Ave., on a charge of reckless driving following a traffic stop on Broadcommon Road, on May 16 at about 7 pm.
  • Evan Sims, 27, of 201 Main St., on May 16 at about 9:30 pm on a warrant issued by Second District Court, Newport, for failure to appear at a violation hearing on a charge of weapons possession brought by Middletown Police. At a May 15 hearing, Sims pleaded no contest to the charge, and Judge Walter Gorman ordered him to perform 40 hours of community service.
  • Bret Caizzi, 23, of 700 Metacom Ave., on May 17 at about 1:30 am on a warrant issued by Sixth District Court, Warwick, for failure to appear at a Sept. 18, 2012, cost review hearing on a charge of driving with a suspended license brought by Warren Police. He went to the court later that day and paid the remaining fines and court costs.
  • Humberto Garcia, 27, of 173 Cleveland St., Providence, on a charge of driving without a license following a traffic stop on Metacom Avenue, on May 17 at 5:50 am. He pleaded not guilty at arraignment, and is scheduled to appear at a pretrial hearing in Sixth District Court, Providence, on May 31.
  • Lisa Rosiak, 34, of Warwick, and Eduardo Machado, 31, of 65 Berry Lane, Bristol, following a traffic stop on Market Street on May 17 at about 6:45 pm. Officers charged Rosiak with one count of driving with a suspended license; Machado had an active warrant for failure to appear at December 14, 2012, cost review hearing in Sixth District Court, Providence. Rosiak was released until a court hearing to be scheduled. Machado went to court on May 20 and paid the remaining fines and court costs.
  • Eric Ross, 29, of 16 Hamlet Ct., Bristol, on charges of DUI, first offense, and refusing a chemical test, following a stop on Main Street on May 18 at about 1:10 am. He is scheduled for arriagnment in Sixth District Court, Providence, tomorrow.
  • Thomas Fontaine, 27, of Warwick, on a charge of domestic assault, on May 19 at about 7:45 am. He is scheduled for arriagnment in Sixth District Court, Providence, tomorrow.

  • After a caller reported two juveniles climbing through a window at property on Main Street on May 14 at about 6:45 pm, a local officer responded and noted that the two juveniles were "playing on the wall."
  • An employee of the First Student bus company went to headquarters on May 15 to report cars passing the stopped bus on Metacom Avenue the previous afternoon.
  • On May 16 at about 7:45 am, Warren Police received a call of a missing elderly man who went for a walk earlier in the morning on the East Bay Bike Path and hadn't returned home. Bristol Police reported at 7:51 that they had located the man.
  • Officers responded to a bridge on Main Street on May 20 at 12:30 am for a report of people fishing from the bridge. A local officer reported telling the people to fish from the East Bay Bike Path.
