Free Computer Classes in Bristol, Probate Court Convenes in Warren

Here are a few things you may want to know about today in and around Bristol and Warren:

  • Cloudy skies with a chance of showers later in the day and temperatures in the mid-60s.
  • Free computer classes start at 10 am at the Rogers Free Library on Hope Street in Bristol. Today's class is an "Introduction to Social Media" -- a brief overview of the most popular social networking sites, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.  The lecture-style classes are held in in the Herreshoff Community Room. No sign-up required.
  • The Probate Court in Warren convenes at 9:30 am in the Council Chamber in Town Hall. 
  • The Federal Emergency Management Agency has released the new preliminary flood insurance rate maps for Bristol County; you can click here to see them.
  • The annual meeting of Explore Bristol takes place at the Bristol Yacht Club on Poppasquash Road from 5:30 to 8 pm. Light hors d'ourvres will be served and there will be a cash bar. Everyone is welcome.
