Warren Police Arrest 2 Alleged Drunk Drivers

Two men were pulled over by Warren police within two hours of each other early last Saturday morning.

Warren police took two drivers off the streets early last Saturday morning, Nov. 23, for alleged drunk driving. 

David P. Garceau, 33, of West Warwick, and Paul Johnson, 36, of Weymouth, Mass., were pulled over within about two hours of each other.

Garceau was stopped at approximately 1 am on Kickemuit Road near William Avenue. Johnson was stopped on Vernon Street near Avenue A at about 3:15 am.

Both men were charged with DUIs and refusing to submit to a chemical test. For Garceau, it was a second DUI charge.

Johnson also was charged with possession of cocaine and driving with the controlled substance.

Both men were taken to the police station and arraigned by a justice of the peace. They were held overnight and released with dates to appear in District Court.
