CCFD Status Hearing: A status hearing for the Central Coventry Fire District will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 24 in Kent County Superior Court (222 Quaker Ln., Warwick). Click here to view hearing motions and documents.

CHS Early Dismissal: Coventry High School students will be released at 12:30 p.m. today to allow teachers additional Professional Development time. On the high school's early dismissal days, CHS schedules are switched so all academic classes (periods 5,7,8) meet and advisory (period 6) is missed.
Kindergarten Prep Program: Beginning today, Sept. 24, Coventry Public Library will host a "Getting Ready for Kindergarten" program for children ages 4 and 5 who will begin Kindergarten in 2014. The program will meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m., through the month of May. Sessions will feature stories and activities supporting the RI Early Learning Standards. Register at the Library or by phone at 822-9102.

CCFD Board Meeting: Members of the Central Coventry Fire District Board of Directors will meet at 7 p.m. this evening at the Town Hall Annex (1675 Flat River Road) to discuss district business including the setting of a date and procedures for the CCFD Annual Financial Meeting in compliance with the request of Judge Brian P.
