CHS College App Night: Coventry High School's College Application Night for seniors and parents will take place tonight at 6:30 p.m. in the CHS Media Center. Counselors will be on hand to explain the college application process and the Common App as it pertains to the class of 2014.

NECAP Testing: New England Common Assessment Program (NECAP) testing in Reading will take place today and tomorrow for students in grades 3-5. Parents are asked to make sure children get a good night's sleep beforehand and have a good breakfast each morning. Additional testing for these grades will take place Oct. 8-10 and 15-16. CHS Juniors begin NECAP testing today as well.
CCFD Board Meeting: Members of the Central Coventry Fire District Board of Directors will meet at 7 p.m. this evening in the Town Hall Annex auditorium (1675 Flat River Road) to discuss district business including updates regarding the upcoming CCFD Annual Financial Meeting scheduled for Oct. 21. Click here to view tonight's agenda.Haunted Howl-O-Ween Party: Tonight from 6:30-9:30 p.m., Nino's on Lake Tiogue (446 Tiogue Ave.) will host the annual Easter Seal's "Haunted Howl-O-Ween Party 2013", sponsored by Century 21 Access America. The cocktail party will feature food, music, door prizes and a silent auction, and all proceeds will benefit the Easter Seals of Rhode Island. Tickets are available by calling the Century 21 Coventry office at 828-2100.

Plan Ahead - Scouting Golf Tourney: Parents of Troop 39 Summit are sponsoring a golf tournament to fund the Troop's camping activities and excursions. The event will be held Sunday, Oct. 6 at noon and is open to all golfers. Cost is $120 for 18 holes, lunch, dinner, cart and raffle items.
