COVENTRY, RI — Coventry canceled trash pickup ahead of Friday's winter storm. Residents are asked to keep trash carts off the road Friday to make it easier for plows to clear the roads.

Because of the Presidents Day holiday on Monday, trash pickup was already delayed by one day in Coventry. Because of this, both Thursday and Friday residents will have their trash collected on Saturday.

"We cannot stress this enough: do not have any carts out curbside on Friday," the Coventry Public Works Department said. "This will ensure that we can plow curb to curb during the storm."
