Coventry Man Charged with Multiple Child Molestation Counts

North Kingstown police charged Jesse Gabriau, 26, with multiple child molestation counts for alleged crimes in their town.

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI—A Coventry man with repeated run-ins with police for domestic abuse is now facing child molestation charges.

Jesse Gabriau, 26, is now being held without bail at the Adult Correctional Institutions on two counts of first-degree child molestation and one count of second-degree child molestation.

A Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Gabriau with molesting a child on May 27.

The incidents allegedly occurred in North Kingstown. 

Gabriau is due to be arraigned at a later date.

Court records show Gabriau has nearly 20 arrests since 2009, mainly for domestic assault. He has had various brief stints in jail lasting anywhere from 30 days to a few months before being released and offending again.
