EAST GREENWICH, RI—A 39-year-old East Greenwich woman was arrested for driving under the influence on Saturday after an officer saw her driving erratically with no headlights in the early morning hours of June 4.
Erin L. Schuttert, of 460 Hammet Road, Coventry, later failed a field sobriety test at the scene following a traffic stop at the intersection of Cedar Avenue and Division Street at 1:15 a.m.
Schuttert reportedly seemed drunk and said she was coming from a restaurant and had three drinks. She also repeatedly told police that her ex-boyfriend "is a State Trooper but no longer works for the agency."

During the "walk and turn" portion of the field sobriety test, police said she was argumentative and kept performing the test before police asked her to, telling them that she knew how to do it because her ex-boyfriend is a state trooper. Each time, police instructed her to stop "because I did not tell her to begin," an officer wrote in the police report.
At the police station, Schuttert reportedly became argumentative when police couldn't help her get her phone charged
