Parking Ban In Coventry For Winter Storm, Trash Delay
Both Thursday and Friday trash pickup will happen on Saturday.

COVENTRY, RI — Coventry announced a parking ban for Friday, ahead of s winter storm expected to arrive overnight. The parking ban will be in effect from midnight Thursday until midnight Friday.
The town also canceled all trash pickup for Friday. Because of the holiday week delay, both Thursday and Friday trash pickup will happen on Saturday.
The Public Works Department reminded residents that curb-to-curb cleaning is not completed until the end of the storm. The department asked residents not to call to ask about their curb or the end of their driveway during the storm. Coventry residents can help plows do their job by pulling all trash and recycling carts away from the street, along with basketball hoops or either items that block the street. The department also asked residents not to blow snow into the street from driveways.

Snow is expected to arrive overnight, between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. It is expected to change over from all snow to wintry mix Friday morning, between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. in the southern half of the state, and between 9 a.m. and noon in the northern half of the state.
