Police Seek ID of Fraud Suspect

The woman sought by police opened up a fraudulent credit card at the Coventry Walmart to buy iPads. Can you ID her?

COVENTRY, RI—The Coventry Police Department is asking the public to help them identify a woman who committed fraud at the Coventry Walmart that could be connected with an identity theft investigation with links to Pennsylvania.

The suspect allegedly opened a bogus Walmart Mastercard account on May 10 and used the account to buy two iPads and a pair of gift cards at the store.

The total amount charged was nearly $1,500.

The woman is described of Hispanic origin and was seen being driven to and from the store in a newer Honda Accord with unknown New York license plates.

Police believe it was a rental car.
