Blood, Antigone & Little Pictures
Your guide for life in North Kingstown today, Nov. 22.

NKHS Blood Drive: North Kingstown High School is sponsoring a fall blood drive in the high school auditorium from 7:45 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. It’s open to anyone 16 years or older, though all those who are under 18 must have a permission form signed by their parent or guardian. Each pint donated can save up to 3 lives. Give the gift of life.
‘Antigone’ at NKHS: Performances take place Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Tickets are $6.
Little Picture Show @ Wickford Art Assoc.: The Wickford Art Association gallery features Our Little Picture Show from Nov. 22 to Dec. 18 at our gallery at 36 Beach St. in North Kingstown. The Little Picture Show is our last gallery event of the year. All the artwork in this exhibit is 8" x 10" or under and priced to sell. If you (or someone on your Christmas list) like art, this is a good opportunity to pick up a wonderful, moderately priced piece from a talented local artist.

Movie @ NK Free Library: The library is showing “The New World,” a 2005 romantic historical drama, written and directed by Terrence Malick. It depicts the founding of the Jamestown settlement in Virginia and is inspired by the historical figures Captain John Smith and Pochontas. Reading at Davisville Free Library: Local author Michelle Moschetti will read from her books Torn Ribbons and Tangled Ribbons at the Davisville Free Library at 2 p.m.
Meadowbrook Waldorf School Holiday Faire: The school, in West Kingston, is holding a festive day of family fun. Enjoy puppet performances and live music, ride a pony and explore the magical gnome cave. There are crafts for all ages – try your hand at candle dipping! Then visit the Holiday Store to shop for unusual and hand-crafted gifts for everyone on your holiday shopping list. This is a wonderful family event! Free. Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m., Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
