Elizabeth "Rose" [O'Connell] Rochette, 91: Member, St. Francis de Sales Women's Prayer Group

Elizabeth "Rose" (O'Connell) Rochette, 91, of North Kingstown, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at her daughter's home. She was the loving wife of the late Raymond P. Rochette. Born in Worcester, MA, she was a daughter of the late Joseph F. O'Connell and Margaret Mary (Connell) O'Connell.

Mrs. Rochette was a homemaker and worked at W.T. Grants in North Kingstown. She was a founding member of St. Francis de Sales Church, where she was very active. Rose was a member of the St. Francis de Sales women's prayer group, church cleaning crew for 35 years, and the women's society. She was a member of Fleet Reserve #42 and made bird feeders in East Greenwich.

She leaves her four loving children: Patricia A. Pace and her husband James of East Greenwich, Paul S. Rochette of North Kingstown, Laura J. Mittelsteadt and her husband Stephan of East Greenwich, and Jeffrey D. Rochette and his wife Teresa of Woodstock, CT. Cherished grandmother of 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 great, great-grandchild. She was the sister of the late Joseph O’Connell, Edward O’Connell, Margaret Lloyd, Frances O’Connell, Mary Latka, and Helen Sarja.

Her Funeral will be held Monday, July 29, 2013 at 8:45 a.m. from The Cranston-Murphy Funeral Home of Wickford, 140 West Main St., Wickford Village, North Kingstown, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Francis de Sales Church, 381 School St., North Kingstown. Burial will follow in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m.
