LETTER: Want a Pharmacy in Your Backyard? Vote GOP for NK Council this November
"Voters don't want more growth—especially commercial growth in rural areas," writes Donna Hutchinson. "They want MORE open space not less."

Do you want a CVS built in your backyard? What about a bank, a Subway, or some other chain store? It’s about to happen to the residents in the Rolling Greens development neighborhood.
Where is Rolling Greens? It is located just past the Home Depot on Ten Rod Road. It is a quiet group of several residential neighborhoods. Like their neighbors on the border in Exeter, they don’t want to watch their neighborhood turned into a neighborhood of strip malls.
In 2006 NK voters approved a bond to preserve the area for open space. But the Republicans in town don’t care what the voters want. The GOP town council members live in Sauderstown and Allentown – far away from the Rolling Greens area. Their motto seems to be “full-speed-ahead-growth-at-any-cost”.

Voters don’t want more growth – especially commercial growth in rural areas. They want MORE open space not less. They want MORE bike paths, hiking trails and less traffic. They want improved roads, schools and town buildings.
These things increase our property value. These things preserve our quality of life. Stop the commercial development at Rolling Greens – because next time it could be your neighborhood. Vote for Independent or Democratic candidates in November.
