On Monday …
Labor Day: From the U.S. Dept. of Labor website, “Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.”
No trash pickup: Because of the Labor Day holiday yesterday, trash pickup is delayed a day all week, so if your trash is usually picked up on Monday, it will be picked up on Tuesday this week.

The structures will be marked with fluorescent paint. Drivers are being asked to travel at moderate speeds and with caution. At this time, weather permitting, the contractor is scheduled to resurface the road overnight on Sunday, Sept. 8. There will be two lanes of traffic open.
